Which discount type fits my goal?
Match your goal to a Discount Genie discount type: money off products, quantity breaks, bigger carts, Buy X Get Y, free shipping or a free gift.
Find your goal in the table, then open that discount type in the app: go to Discounts and pick the type's card under Create discounts like a Genie.

Gift with purchase has its own Gift with purchase page in the app menu. Today it unlocks on the cart total or subtotal.
Pick a style inside the type #
Most types have styles you choose at the top of the form:
- Product, Volume, Order and Tiered order discounts: Standard or Advanced. Advanced (paid plans) adds targeting by line item properties and cart attributes.
- Product and Order discounts: Standard + Shipping adds a shipping discount to the same offer.
- Volume discount: B2B (Wholesalers) targets your B2B customers.
- Buy X get Y: Classic, Volume, Purchase amount, Cart subtotal or Bundled pricing.
- Shipping discount: target All rates, Specific shipping rates or rates By delivery options.
When you need more than one offer #
- Several cases in one discount: use discount groups (paid plans). Each group has its own value and conditions, and you set their priority.
- Many unique codes: create the discount from the Bulk code generator instead. It supports product, order, volume, tiered order, Buy X get Y and shipping discounts.
- Two discounts on one order: in each discount's Combinations settings, allow it to combine with the other discount's class (product, order or shipping).
Tip
Not sure between Volume and Tiered order? Volume counts units of a product in the cart. Tiered order looks at the cart subtotal.
